Well, my final picture as a 16 year old is finally finished. Sorry for that long pause. (Oh snap, just realized this is my 1yr dA anniversary too.)

I'm satisfied, I guess. It's a fitting summary of what I've progressed into and learned this birth-year... (<<< Who uses words like that?...) Color choice, lighting...ish, blending, plus semirealism's in there too. It's a good representation of everything I've gotten better at. It's fanart, something I just stepped into, and my most favorite female anime character ever, and I think I did a good job.

Even more fitting that I just watched the 1st movie and there is a new SAC movie comming out. (This is Stand Alone Complex Motoko, by the way... She's so cool. And yes, her expression is supposed to be unclear and weird.)

Originally, I was supposed to do the entire section 9. It's just the Major alone for now.

Enjoy. And thanks for this good year on dA everyone. Great stuff.

While I'm looking forward to my upcomming pictures as a 17-year-old, I'm not looking forward to being 17... Haha, "Old." I can't say "I'm only 16" anymore... Oh well. Heh.

Hey X3 I was just peeking around your gallery and such yesterday wondering where the heck you went!

What a beautful way to end your 16th year O: The hair, eyes, and skin tones in particular look fantastic!
Personally I think the coat looks okay oo Maybe a bit messier than the skin, but still good. It's more the shirt underneath that looks a bit odd :/ Then again, I've never seen a picture of this character, the texture just looks very plastic-like. Was that intentional maybe? -ponders-

Ooh, and I know it's usually best not to compare someone's artwork to someone else's, but I just have to say that her face reminds me of something I'd see from Square Enix oo; That's supposed to be a compliment, very sorry if you don't take it the same way for any reason ^^;

Yeah, the inner shirt is some kind of plastic/poly-leather material that always seems to change texture/hardness/shininess in the anime. I kinda tried to combine it all.

Woot! Good to see the full finished version of this, very nice! The texture you used on her face worked very well. As some others may have said it is very FF-ish, even better if you ask me! It is more of the realism that connects with FF stuff, the style itself is much more different and all your own ^-^

As with the skin, you did an amazing job on the hair =D

Aww I can realate to the turing 17 thing, I am turning 17 in.. 4 days? o.o wow sooner than I thought *scratches head* I wish, I had known sooner, I would have drawn you somthing! Although, coming from me, that is kind of a lame gift xD
